        Anie Maki / Anna Michelotti
        Fotografa - Bolzano



        Anna was born and raised in South Tyrol. 
        She graduated in Communication Studies at the University of Bologna and specialised in photography at Spazio Labo' Photography Centre. 
        In Bolzano, she works as a photographer, also collaborating with the gallery FotoForum and the bookshop ÓPLab in Merano, and cultivating personal photographic projects in parallel.

        Her artistic research revolves around the theme of relationships, exploring them with the medium of photography.
         She likes to work with archive material and keep a psychological view on the stories, investigating and underlining connections between past and present, focusing on recurring patterns.
        Part of the process is, indeed, listening and taking care of people and environments which surround her observing 360°, from a portrait to an old receipt.

        She has a passion for the humanities, writing, reading and print media as well as collecting old objects and exploring archives - but she’s also happy taking care of plants in a nice garden.

        Her first book, ‘Marinella’, was published in 2024 by Lotta Books.
